If you have missed it, we've been doing an ongoing series with industry pundit, Ken Magill. Each week for the last few weeks Ken sends me a question and I present it to the Only Influencers membership for comment. I decided to organize them here for easy access:
The latest column's question is "What are email's blood-pressure-and-cholesterol metrics, ie. What are the first two or three a consultant will look at to determine the health of a client's program and the first they will move to help the client fix?
Great answers from the Influencers can be found here.
The previous question was so interesting that the Influencers kept responding after the deadline. Fortunately, the answers were so interesting that Ken ran it as a two part-er.
The question was
1. What are the most effective tactics you have seen for reactivating non-responsive email addresses?
and
2. How do I decide when an address is inactive.
You'll find the answers here in part one
Part 2 is really just a long post by Dela Quist who got quite animated by the question.
Next up is the following question: "Should I ever remove inactive, but non-bouncing, non-complaining, addresses from my email file? If so, why, and how do I determine when?"
Here is the Influencers answer:
The week before that Ken asks the experts at Only Influencers about "the biggest ongoing challenge email marketers face: how best to grow their email list into a large, responsive file."
Here is what the Influencers had to say.
And the very first Magill "Ask the Expert" column asked the Influencers: “How do you gently educate one's customers or employer to use permission-based marketing?”
And here is what they had to say
